DYMO LabelManager® 260P

Recently I got the opportunity from BzzAgent to try out the DYMO LabelManager® 260P. Anyone that knows me knows that I absolutely adore office supplies. So I jumped on the opportunity without a single second of hesitation.

I’ve used label makers in the past; matter of fact I have a Brother P-Touch sitting next to me. But what stood out about the DYMO LabelManager was the rechargeable battery and the sleek handheld design.

I will admit that this little sucker has a ton of functions, some that I won’t ever probably find the need to touch upon. But what is so great is that they are there should you need them.

Some key highlights:

  • Powered by a lithium-ion battery
  • Large 1.18″ x 2.36″ screen displays two lines of label text
  • Graphical display lets you see text effects on screen before you print. This means no more guessing what the label will look like. What you see is what you get!
  • Customize labels and add emphasis by choosing from 3 fonts, 6 font sizes, one of the many styles, and one of 8 different box styles or underline
  • Work faster with an improved user interface that displays all menu options onscreen without scrolling, and includes intuitive icons for formatting options

Aside from the design and battery, the other feature that I now can’t live without is the display. You really do see what you’re going to get. And if you’ve got a particularly long label going, one press of the preview button shows you what you will get via scroll.

While I will be using my label maker for labels here and there, for those of you who will be using one for every day uses, there is an option to save your most frequent ones (up to 9 of them). I know that will come in handy for some people.

Happy Hump Day!

Woo Hoo. Here we are on Wednesday. Almost through with the week, thank goodness. Saturday we have family coming over so I’ve been desperate to get the final Halloween decorations up and the house cleaned. It’s been soooo chilly (which I love) but I’ve been freaking sick again. Not sure what it is this go around. Started with a scratchy throat, now I’m just full of mucus. Fun stuff, I tell ya! And on top of that, my TMJ is acting up. Again. Which though, makes me think it’s all sinus related. Which is better than a cold I guess. ;) Just thank goodness I got the flu shot when I did! Speaking of which, the kiddo got his on Saturday, so he’s covered. Now to nag the husband into getting his. ;)

Happy Day—enjoy yours!

New year, new me?

Hmmm… seems that’s the “normal” thought for everyone. However, I am determined, not so much to make a new me, more so a more organized me… in every way. Time to buckle down and a) lose the last of the weight (I need to lose less than I lost the last time, yet I’m finding it hard to start it up again), b) get more focused between working at home and family life (domestic goddess I am not, and it shows) and c) enjoy life.

With 7 months ’til TwiCon and 9 months ’til my sister’s wedding, the weight is a BIG issue. I’ve joined a “real” gym vs Curves, but have not gone yet. Not so much my fault — right after I joined, I got sick and between Thanksgiving, being sick and then Christmas I just couldn’t get there. I am determined to get there this week. I am excited about the various equipment. :)

One of the major things I am trying to get a hold on is my online identity.  I’ve been using various names over the past years, but have decided to switch to one across the board.  Of course this is going to take a little while and may cause me some pain, sigh, but it’s something I really need to do.  Too many sign in names, etc.  I want to have everything fluid.

And let’s not forget one of my top priorities of this year: me time.  I never get to do what I want to do any more.  Time is going by too fast.  I never get to “play” on the computer — I’m either on there for work or for some quick info thing.  No digital scrapbooking or playing around with the blog theme. :|  More me time.

Happy New Year!
