I’m a Facebook Master!

Well, according to smarterer that is. :)

Smarterer is beta site—that I got to test out thanks to BzzAgent—with crowd-sourced questions where you can take tests to let the world know just how much you know. Tests are available in a wide range of fields such as: Facebook (796, here, thank you), Twitter, Google Search, Excel, Photoshop, PHP, Gmail, Outlook… and the list really does go on and on.

Each question is timed, with points decreasing the longer it takes you to answer. But once you finish a question you can stop; you’re not timed on the test overall. (Which is a good thing because some of these tests go on and on and on – especially with people adding new questions all the time!) Answer right and your score increases, answer wrong and points are deducted (logical, eh?). Answer correctly once more and you’ll increase your score again. So don’t feel bad if you really don’t know the last four digits of Mark Zuckerberg’s social security number. You’ll have chances to redeem yourself. ;)

Smarterer also offers up ways for you to show off that master status. Share those scores on Facebook, Twitter, in email or on your resume. Signing up provides a personal profile page with all your tests and skill levels front and center. http://smarterer.com/momneedscoffee

So go ahead, pull up your chair and hit up the Facebook test. See if you can beat my score!

So now I feel guilty. Great.

So I join a gift site and someone sends me $10 via PayPal towards the iPhone on my wish list (that’s how it works).

This bothers me immensely. I don’t know the person, so it really made me feel funny. Taking money from someone I don’t know.  Not cool. So I sent a nice email saying that although I appreciate the gesture, and find it beyond thoughtful, I just can’t accept it. I get an email back. He feels bad for making me feel bad. Which now makes me feel even worse. See? Taking money from someone you don’t know—not cool.

But while on the subject of the iPhone, I bought the husband an iPod Touch and I freaking love it. I’m still aiming for the iPhone, although he keeps telling me to buy a touch because in two years I’ll want a new phone and I’ll have a bum iPhone. :| I’m not so sure about that theory.

I’m not ready for Monday.

This weekend feels like it came and went in a blink of the eye.  I’ve been meaning to start my mornings earlier during the weekend and it’s just not happening.  So by the time I get moving, I’m not in the mood to do the things I had planned to do.

Spring is here and my garden knows it.  The tulips are coming up, the grass is getting greener and the birds are chirping like no tomorrow.  Now to muster up the energy to weed the garden, plant more grass and feed the birds.  The most I got done this weekend was buying and watching Twilight on blu-ray. LOL

Speaking of blu-ray, I am LOVING the new “sets” that Disney has – combo packs.  You get the blu-ray AND the DVD.  I actually purchased Pinocchio this way and it’s phenomenal.

While still on the geek topic, The Husband is driving me batty over his cell phone.  Picks one, doesn’t like it, picks another, not sure, picks another… and so on.  There are two cell phones I want: the lotus or the iphone.  I can’t change until October.  It’s killing me.  So not want to hear him making choices.  I want it to be my turn.

Tomorrow is a busy day — heading an hour away to the doctors with the kiddo for a pre-cert exam for the dentist that is an hour away on Wednesday.  Fun.  All because of a cavity and his inability to allow people into his mouth.  Sigh.  I am not looking forward to fighting with an almost 8 year old over letting someone fix his teeth.  :|  One can hope that this week will be a good one, but I doubt it.

I’m soooo

It’s official.  I opened my mailbox and what was in there?  My first issue of Sci Fi Magazine. :0)  Heh.  So, I guess that means I’ve crossed over.  I’m no longer just a techie geek–I’m a sci fi geek.

Ok, so in my defense, it’s not just “geekery” in there.  I love me my Supernatural guys — those Winchester boys are scrum-didly-umpstious.  There is also an article on Underworld: Rise of the Lycans.  I don’t know what it is — but I love Bill Nighy.

Bill Nighy

Ok, so, not sure what makes me fall head-over-heels for him. I’ll be the first to admit he’s, uhm, of the older persuasion. But still, he’s on my list.  I forget who first came up with the idea of a “list” but I have to say, in the very least, it’s nice to fantasize.  Now pipe down about Bill being on my list — if you’ve seen Love Actually or Girl in the Café, you’d understand. And besides, he’s younger than my own father, so what-eva.  :P
