Today is 30 days until The Twilight Saga: New Moon comes out. I’ve got my tickets already! Yay! My sister, her friend and I are going to a midnight showing. I cannot wait! New Moon is the least of my favorites in the books, but from what I’m seeing in trailers and clips, I am going to love the movie.
I am beyond excited about this movie. HUGE HUGE Twilight buff, but even I’ll admit Twilight was not a good movie. It looked like one of those B movies. New Moon is looking to be much, much more!

First of all, I’m trying out a new blog theme. I’m wanting to try my hand on creating my own, so bought a cheapy one to dissect. ;) I love the whole scrapbook look, so that’s a plus.
And now back to Monday. I am FREEZING. It’s currently 49° out and I am cold. It has defeated me—the heat is on. :(
Didn’t start out as a good day either. I didn’t want to get up, the kiddo didn’t want to get off the couch to get ready, THEN he decided to grumble all the way to the bus, “I do NOT want to get on the bus. I do NOT want to go to school.” Fun times!
So now here I sit, trying to work, while freezing. Glass tops for desks are not all they are cracked up to be. ;)
Brian is out cold, should be up putting together the darn kitchen ‘table’ that we got at Ikea. The kitchen is not an eat in kitchen and it’s been murder finding a thin enough table to go against the wall. Well low and behold, we found one! Only, it’s been out of stock forever. So they finally got them in and I can’t be more excited! Finally a place to put the pots and pans when I use the oven!
It’s nothing fantastic or even beautiful, but it definitely fits our needs (with added drawer space too!):

Later today I have to go pick up the fundraiser/food. Our school system does Market Day and I’ve ordered a couple of times now. They had some neat potatoes I wanted to try, so today is pick-up day. Don’t really want to go out, but hey, I’d go anywhere for taters. ;)

Woo Hoo. Here we are on Wednesday. Almost through with the week, thank goodness. Saturday we have family coming over so I’ve been desperate to get the final Halloween decorations up and the house cleaned. It’s been soooo chilly (which I love) but I’ve been freaking sick again. Not sure what it is this go around. Started with a scratchy throat, now I’m just full of mucus. Fun stuff, I tell ya! And on top of that, my TMJ is acting up. Again. Which though, makes me think it’s all sinus related. Which is better than a cold I guess. ;) Just thank goodness I got the flu shot when I did! Speaking of which, the kiddo got his on Saturday, so he’s covered. Now to nag the husband into getting his. ;)
Happy Day—enjoy yours!

October 2nd. And it actually FEELS like October. Woo Hoo. *Ü*
We’re suppose to go to Family Fun Night at a nursery, but the weather may not hold out. Plus, it would just be me and the kiddo. So, it’s still up in the air. I’ve got decorations to get up anyway. Apparently, I was “on his ass” to get the fall decorations out of the garage and I’ve yet to decorate. Of course, I’ve put some stuff out. It’s really my Halloween stuff that is the bulk of it. That’s going out either tonight, if the Family Fun Night is a bust or tomorrow, when it’s storming out.
I also got my Vera Bradley bag I ordered the other day. It’s a bowler bag, normally $72—got it for $28! Woo Hoo! And I was even more surprised at how it arrived.

- Vera Bradley Box

- Inside Vera Bradley Box

- Vera Bradley Bowler Bag
How awesome is that? I’ve never ordered directly from VB, so the packaging was a total surprise! And I couldn’t beat the price. Of course it was for certain colors only. The one pictured, the one I got, is the Mod Floral Blue. I have a larger bag in the Mod Floral Pink and I love it, so I grabbed the blue this time. So now I’ve got a nice, fallish bag to use. It looks REALLY nice with jeans. Yay!

Say hello to my new vacuum:

Dyson Animal Ball
Yes, I bit the bullet and ordered one. Thankfully, I remembered about HSN (Home Shopping Network) and QVC and looked it up on there. Grabbed this bad boy for $485 w/out shipping (shipping was $21, not really a bargain, but it still pushed me under a normal price). Now granted, it’s not the most current model, but it came with extra stuff too. But now I wait. I ordered Violet (yes, I am naming her) on the 31st. I’m still waiting. I keep tracking her on UPS but it keeps saying, “Billing information received.” Sigh. WTH HSN? I want my darn vacuum. It’s time to put the old out to pasture (aka the dump).
This will be our 4th vacuum in the 6 years we’ve lived here. The entire house is carpets. I originally decided against the Dyson—who wants to pay for it? Plus we were thinking about wood floors (because of the dog hair), but then decided that she’d scratch the wood, so since we’re sticking with carpet, we’ll spend the money. Because I bought on HSN.com, I did the flexpay (4 payments) which is really the only way I could a) afford it up front and b) justify buying it.
Is it truly sad that I’m this excited over a vacuum?
