I’m not ready for Monday.

This weekend feels like it came and went in a blink of the eye.  I’ve been meaning to start my mornings earlier during the weekend and it’s just not happening.  So by the time I get moving, I’m not in the mood to do the things I had planned to do.

Spring is here and my garden knows it.  The tulips are coming up, the grass is getting greener and the birds are chirping like no tomorrow.  Now to muster up the energy to weed the garden, plant more grass and feed the birds.  The most I got done this weekend was buying and watching Twilight on blu-ray. LOL

Speaking of blu-ray, I am LOVING the new “sets” that Disney has – combo packs.  You get the blu-ray AND the DVD.  I actually purchased Pinocchio this way and it’s phenomenal.

While still on the geek topic, The Husband is driving me batty over his cell phone.  Picks one, doesn’t like it, picks another, not sure, picks another… and so on.  There are two cell phones I want: the lotus or the iphone.  I can’t change until October.  It’s killing me.  So not want to hear him making choices.  I want it to be my turn.

Tomorrow is a busy day — heading an hour away to the doctors with the kiddo for a pre-cert exam for the dentist that is an hour away on Wednesday.  Fun.  All because of a cavity and his inability to allow people into his mouth.  Sigh.  I am not looking forward to fighting with an almost 8 year old over letting someone fix his teeth.  :|  One can hope that this week will be a good one, but I doubt it.

Oh to be a fangbanger

It’s no secret, at least amongst friends and family, that I am addicted to vampires. I’ve always had a thing for them — Bram Stoker’s Dracula, The Lost Boys, Van Helsing.  Then they began to mix werewolves in with them (I’m a werewolf fiend as well; American Werewolf in London anyone?) — Underworld, Underworld Evolution, Underworld Rise of the Lycans.  Heaven.  Pure heaven.

Then came Twilight.  Swoon.  I thought I found the god of all vampires: Edward Cullen.  He’s absolutely perfect — and then they get Robert Pattinson to play him in the films.  COMPLETE heaven.

But Edward, alas, is just a boy.  That’s right, I said it.  It makes me love him no less, but he is just a boy.  Enter True Blood and Eric Northman, the 6’5, viking vampire MAN.

Alexander Skarsgård

Normally, I like my men with dark hair and never long.  But with Eric the Viking – I just can’t help myself.  Maybe it’s the way the book portrays him.  Whatever it is, I’d gladly give up my human life to be with him.

In May True Blood comes out on DVD and I already pre-ordered it on Blue-Ray which is a big step since we don’t have many blu-ray DVDs (Pinocchio 70th anniversary, Outbreak, Independence Day, Swordfish and soon Twilight).  I cannot WAIT to watch it in HD/BR.   Yay!  Just wish it would get here faster — HBO has been playing the episodes on HBO2 EAST but not WEST and for some reason, we only get WEST.  (Huh?)

Death warmed over. Almost.

Never fails.  A nice 3 day weekend and I get sick.  Not only do I get sick, but it snows the most it’s snowed in years, so the kiddo is home too.  And it lasts two days. :|

I am still sick.  I don’t know what it is.  Feels like a mix between a regular cold and a sinus thing.  Putting it mildly, I am NOT in the mood for ANYTHING.

Which, is not a good thing because the kiddo has a dentist appointment today.  After the last fiasco, and the ability to let him out of there alive, I don’t know how I can survive today’s appointment while sick.  On the positive end, it’s a pedodontist visit, so they better be able to handle his fear.  He’s got at least one cavity that appeared after his tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy, so I think they nicked the bad tooth.  Doesn’t bother him, but it bothers me. :(

So all this dentist stuff and school stuff and work stuff is enough to drive me insane — not that I haven’t often been there.

Where is spring already?! I bought a 4 pack of flower bulbs at Costco (god I love Costco!) which included two tulip vases, one mini daffodil vase and one hyacinth vase.  All are doing nicely, but the daffs have bloomed.  I’ve got even more today!  This is the only sign of spring I have. :(  Looking past the daffodils on my counter you see the mounds of snow outside.  Bleh.  Come on spring.
